BeeSian Yap handles and has experience in a wide array of general corporate and transactional law, with an emphasis on the organization, development, financing, management, governance, operation, sale, merger and acquisition of businesses.  At Kupfer., she is the primary attorney responsible for drafting and reviewing corporate formation and governance documents, deal agreements, and a wide variety of contracts and agreements including operating and shareholder agreements, employment, non-competition, consulting, non-disclosure, inbound and outbound licensing, technology transfer agreements, cross border project finance and joint ventures, as well as various securities and other industry specific agreements. 

BeeSian previously worked with Corey at Kupfer. for several years before taking some time off to raise her children.  She rejoined Corey as Senior Corporate Counsel at Hamburger Law Firm before leaving Hamburger Law Firm with him when he reestablished Kupfer.  BeeSian’s many strengths include the ability to identify key issues within transactional documents and agreements, providing a high level of service to clients, and ensuring that momentum on deals and projects is maintained.

Throughout her career BeeSian has worked with clients from start up through mature multi-national businesses in a wide range of industries such as financial and investment services, architecture, construction and design, IT and e-commerce, cable and media, and nonprofit organizations.  She has previously practiced in San Francisco and Singapore.

BeeSian received her law degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science, is admitted in New York, California, and Singapore, and is a barrister-at-law with the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn, London. 

BeeSian is married with two twin boys and lives in downtown Manhattan.  She travels to Malaysia and Singapore when she can to visit her family and friends there.  BeeSian is a pro at Wii Golf, has a vast collection of hot sauce, and binge watches horror movies in her free time.
